Length × width × height in metres, times the number of pieces. The CBM check on this page does the sums for up to three sizes.

Your release

Send us the bill of lading or release number and the unpack depot. We book the collection once it’s released.

A full container?

If your cargo fills a container, we bring it to our depot in Germiston and unpack it there, or deliver it whole.

Questions

LCL questions

Can’t find your answer? Our team is a phone call away.

Call 011 873 4786
What does LCL mean?

Less than a container load. Several shippers’ cargo shares one container, which is unpacked at a depot, and each consignment is released on its own bill of lading. We collect your share from the depot and deliver it.

Which unpack depots do you collect from?

We work with all the depots, coastal and inland. Tell us which depot your cargo is at, and its release or bill of lading number.

How do I work out the cubic metres?

Measure each piece at its longest, widest and highest points, pallet included, in metres. Multiply length by width by height, then by the number of pieces. The CBM check on this page does it from centimetres.

What if the last free day is close?

Tell us straight away. We’re close to the customs-licensed depots and handle late releases and last free days at short notice.

Can you collect before it’s released?

We collect once the depot can release it to us. Send us the details beforehand and we’ll book the collection, so it can move once it’s released.

What vehicle will you send?

The right one for the load: we have 75 local vehicles, from flat-deck rigids to fully enclosed vans. Fragile or high-value cargo goes in an enclosed van.

See Cartage Services

What if there’s no forklift at my door?

Our tail-lift trucks bring an extra crew member and a pallet jack, and put each piece on the ground.

What about a full container?

We move full containers too, and unpack them at our customs-licensed depot in Germiston if you need it.

See Container Packing and Unpacking

What do you need from me?

The bill of lading or release number, the unpack depot, the pieces with their sizes and weights, the delivery address, receiving hours and whether there’s a forklift.

How much does it cost?

Every collection is different, so we don’t publish prices. Answer the seven short questions in the quote form, add the CBM check if you like, and we come back with a quote.
